I recently learned about Megaglobe, a new search engine preparing to launch in 2007.  Web site owners can add their URLs to be indexed by visiting Megaglobe.com.  It will be interesting to watch as this new engine grows and develops.

In the meantime, advertisers should expect good rates and some exciting and unique programs.  Megaglobe is going to be running what they call a "Placement Frequency Program" for sponsored sites.  This means that advertisers will have the ability to bid for how often their ad will appear on the search engine.  It sounds like a unique concept that may rival Yahoo's Bid Ad Placement.
